About
Medicare 101 training is for individuals and their care partners who will soon be eligible for Medicare, as well as those who already have Medicare and would like to learn more about their coverage. This session will explain: Medicare Part A (inpatient hospitalization/skilled nursing) Part B (doctors/outpatient hospital services/labs/radiology) Part C (Medicare Advantage plans) Part D (prescription drugs) How to address gaps in Medicare benefits through Medicare supplemental plans. About This Program This free class is taught by the Fairfax County’s Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP) team which is part of the Department of Family Services, Adult and Aging Division. Instructors are non-biased, state-certified SHIP (State Health Insurance and Assistance Program) Counselors.
