World Studio Craft Series: Saa Paper Rom Bo Sang (Parasol) Decorating
About
Made to protect users against the tropical sun, Saa, or mulberry, paper parasols have been in use in Thailand for centuries. Learn the history of the parasol making in Thailand before using decorative techniques to paint floral, botanical, and zoological motifs. Expand your cultural literacy through Moraga library’s World Exploration Craft Series. Learn the culture and make a craft; each session, participants will learn about a different culture through a short prestation followed by a related craft, giving participants a hands-on learning experience. This program is designed for Adults and Teens 14 years of age or older. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required and will open one week prior to event.
