The worlds of science and art collide at STEAM Sundays! Help us clean out our closets in this project filled STEAM Sunday afternoon. We'll have mini lessons and projects at the ready for you to pick what you'd like to work on. Will you make slime or maybe create a cactus rock sculpture after learning about succulents? Perhaps you'll make some rainbow prints once you know more about the light spectrum or study bubble physics by making bubble art! We'll provide the supplies, you bring your curious and creative energy! Through a brief lecture and hands-on experimenting and creating, STEAM Sundays allow participants to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math while working on an art project. After learning about a topic, the experimentation and note taking parts of the scientific process will be conducted through a craft. Everyone will go home with a finished project and better understanding of each chosen topic. Best for youth ages 5-12. A librarian will be on hand to offer guidance but projects for this program will be self-guided and adult assistance will be needed for young participants. Supplies are limited; registration required.
