Join us as Biblioteca Latinoamericana celebrates 50 years of serving the community. The anniversary celebration will honor the founders who established the library in 1976 and recognize Amigos de la Biblioteca with a special commendation. Guest Speakers Anthony Tordillos, Councilmember, City of San José District 3 Jill Bourne, City Librarian, San José Public library Live Entertainment and Activities Cultural performances Bilingual storytime Community activities Display of items from the library’s time capsule Attendees will also have the opportunity to get a first look at renderings for the proposed renovation of Biblioteca Latinoamericana .
