This exhibition, by the SAGE drawing class, celebrates drawing as an act of attention, imagination, and personal expression. Rooted in the idea that art has value simply because it exists, this exhibition invites artists to create without the pressure of utility, judgment, or explanation. For the artists, “For Arts’ Sake” is both a declaration and an invitation: to make work for the love of making, to honor the beauty of experimentation, and to recognize drawing as a language of discovery. Art can question, reveal, comfort, challenge, and delight - but above all, it can simply be. This exhibition honors that freedom.
