About

An interactive event for job seekers We are at the inflection point (one of many?) instigated by changes in the world of work. No argument there! If you are in the job market, you may find change and its rapid pace to be confusing and frustrating. We will review essential elements of a job search plan that will help you navigate through change – while also strengthening your claim on the job you want. To-do points to discuss: (1) Review criteria related to job and work that matter most to you; (2) Prepare a capabilities diagram of the assets you offer including capabilities developed as you have moved through your life experience; (3) Modify your job targeting according to shifts in skills that will be most valued in 2030; (4) Research and analyze changes in organization structures; (5) Review job pivoting options; (6) Learn to find new job titles that match your interests and capabilities; (7) Identify needs to enhance and upgrade skills as needed; (8) Place a higher priority on building networks; (8) Find and reach out to cold but relevant contacts. Attendees are encouraged to bring ideas, experiences in job searching, tips to share, and questions.
