Relax and Restore: An Introduction to Sounds Baths
About
Sound healing is a form of therapy used to help the body reach a deep state of relaxation. Sound healing uses instruments to reach specific frequencies that help relax your nervous system and allow your mind and body to rest. During a sound bath you will lie still on the floor or sit still in a chair for 40 minutes. Registrants will receive a list of items to bring for their comfort and further instructions via email. Presenter: Abby Chavez from Sounds of Abundance is a mother, healer, Filipina, advocate, and a certified sound healing practitioner. By bringing sound bath experiences into the library, she hopes to create welcoming opportunities for people to relax, recharge, and connect through sound. --------------------------------------------------- Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests. An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org
