About

Join Sneha Shrestha for a talk about migration, belonging, and her recent paintings, sculptures, murals, and installations. — Join us for an exciting discussion featuring Nepali artist Sneha Shrestha, known artistically as IMAGINE, in conversation with curator Sarah Laursen. Shrestha’s work infuses her native Devanagari script with the visual language of graffiti handstyles to convey stories about migration, diasporic identity, and belonging. Working across painting, murals, and sculpture, she uses calligraphic repetition to create meditative spaces of color and gesture that foster reflection, protection, and pride. Speakers: Sneha Shrestha , Artist Sarah Laursen , Alan J. Dworsky Curator of Chinese Art This lecture will be recorded and made available for online viewing; check back shortly after the event for the link to view. This event is part of In Conversation , a series of evening programs that feature local and international curators, artists, scholars, and more. Running from September through April, these events highlight our temporary exhibitions, permanent collections, and a range of creative voices. Support for the lecture is provided by the M. Victor Leventritt Fund, which was established through the generosity of the wife, children, and friends of the late M. Victor Leventritt, Harvard Class of 1935. The purpose of the fund is to present outstanding scholars of the history and theory of art to the Harvard and Greater Boston communities.
