MLK JR. - What better way to bird than by kayaking on the welcoming and wondrous waters of the San Leandro Bay and Bay Farm? We'll start off with dry land instruction, then paddle our steady and stable craft on a group exploration of this lush and lovely shoreline. Adult/ Parent Registration and Participation Required for ages 12-17. Reminder email will be sent out prior to course start date. Meeting Place: Martin Luther King Jr (Oakland): Tidewater Boating Center PROVIDED: tandem kayaks, safety gear, and paddle instruction. WEAR: dress in layers for warmth (synthetic materials recommended), windbreaker, hat, sunglasses with retention device, shoes that can get wet. NO flip-flops. BRING: water bottle and signed WAIVER/EMERGENCY form (PDF document will be located at the end of the registration receipt).
