Sabbatical leaves for the intellectual and academic enrichment of faculty and for the benefit of the University are available to tenured faculty and Senior Lecturers. Eligibility criteria are defined in Faculty Handbook 3.7.1.1 (https://www.scu.edu/provost/faculty-affairs/faculty-handbook/ch3/#3.7.1.1). Application guidelines and the application form are available on the Sabbatical Leave page (https://www.scu.edu/provost/research/sabbatical-leave/). Applications are automatically routed to department chairs for review, and applicants are notified of the status of the application by mid-December.
