Medicare is a federal health insurance program designed primarily for people age 65 and older, as well as certain younger individuals with disabilities or specific medical conditions. Understanding how Medicare works can help you make informed decisions about your healthcare coverage and costs. At this FREE workshop we will cover: Overview of Medicare including eligibility, costs, benefits and recent changes Various options for supplementing Medicare, such as Medigap plans, Medicare Advantage plans, and Medi-Cal Information on Medicare Part D (prescription drug benefit) Information for low income assistance programs Registration is not required, but if you would like to receive an event reminder email, please register using the provided link. This is a FREE presentation by the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) of Legal Assistance for Seniors. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events.
