Veterans in the Parks - Brushy Peak Bioblitz

BRUSHY PEAK - Discover a new way to interact with the outdoors – join us for a Bioblitz! This challenge encourages people to find, take photos of, and identify as many different species of plants and animals as possible and record their observations through iNaturalist (a free app that crowdsources scientific collection through photos). Wear comfortable layers and sturdy shoes, bring water and a fully charged mobile device or camera. Get a head start and download the iNaturalist app to your phone and make a free account prior to arriving, but no prior experience is necessary to participate. 10am-12pm, Tuesday, September 8th Meeting Location: Laughlin Road Staging Area Distance of Walk: 2 miles Elevation Change: 0 - 500 ft Type of Trail: Natural Stone / Slight Incline This program is designed for veterans to get out and enjoy nature with other veterans in the community. Each month we will explore a different area of the East Bay Regional Park District to socialize and get outside together. Registration is required for each program.
