Adaptive Rec RCEB: Friends in the Kitchen (Ages 11-17)
About
Adaptive recreation classes are intended for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Adaptive Rec: Cooking is a hands-on, inclusive program designed for youth, teens, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to explore the joys of cooking. In each class, participants learn to create simple yet delicious meals while building essential life skills in a safe and supportive environment. Guided by patient instructors, the class emphasizes independence, creativity, and teamwork. Parent or caregiver participation may be required for participants. For any additional information or notes about accommodation for participants, please reach out to Vanessa Donaldson (Vdonaldson@larpd.org; 925-960-2485).
