Make & Decorate Sugar Skulls
About
Get ready for Día de los Muertos by making a sugar skull! In this multi-session program, participants will learn to make and then decorate sugar skulls using traditional and modern materials. In the first session, using a special sugar mixture and premade molds, we'll create the parts needed for a sugar skull. In the next session, after the sugar skulls have cured, we'll connect the sugar skull pieces and decorate them with colored frosting, foil, sequins, paint, and more! Once decorated, the sugar skulls will be ready to display on your home altar or our community ofrenda. Please note: creating sugar skulls is a multi-day process. Participants will not be able to finish their skulls in one session and should plan to return for the second session to decorate skulls. En este divertido programa de varias sesiones, aprenderás a hacer y decorar calaveritas usando materiales tradicionales y modernos.
