Mexika/Aztec Dancer Painting on Canvas
About
Participants will paint an Indigenous traditional dancer on canvas using a photo reference of a Mexika dancer photographed by workshop facilitator Elizabeth Jiménez Montelongo. Elizabeth will guide participants step-by-step throughout the painting process. Elizabeth is a visual artist, poet, and facilitator whose work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the U.S., including Centro de Artes in San Antonio, Texas. She leads arts and poetry workshops throughout the Bay Area and is the founder of La Raíz Magazine. All materials will be provided. Workshop to be held in the Community Room.
