In Fall 2025, California Community Colleges signed a deal with Google to provide faculty, staff and students with free access to various Google AI applications. In Part 1 of the AI Basics workshop series, we'll focus on developing a critical, transformative approach to using generative AI. We'll introduce best practices for AI in academic and professional spaces, ethical considerations, and spend a portion of the session experimenting with Gemini.
