
Tech Class: Basic Computer Skills
About
Build confidence using a computer in this beginner-friendly four-week course! Designed for adults who are new to computers or want to strengthen their basic digital skills, this hands-on class will introduce the fundamentals of using a Windows computer in a supportive learning environment. Each week will focus on a different topic: Week 1-October 7th: Computer Basics Week 2 -October 14th: Introduction to the Internet Week 3-October 21st : Staying Safe Online Week 4-October 28th: Taking it further: Using Common Applications and Websites Participants will have opportunities to practice new skills and ask questions throughout the course. Registration for full course is highly encouraged. Library laptops will be provided, or you may bring your own laptop. Please note that instruction will be based on Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers. If bringing your own device, ensure that it is fully charged before class. *This course is a group class intended to teach general computer skills and is not personalized tech support. Class time will not be used to troubleshoot individual device issues.
