Gallery Experience: Gods, Goddesses, and Lotus Eaters: A Hirshhorn Odyssey
About
Registration recommended. Join us for an epic journey through the Hirshhorn to encounter artworks that reflect the themes of Homer’s Odyssey . Along the way, we will visit Brancusi’s Sleeping Muse I , Lee Krasner’s Siren , Jackson Pollock’s Water Figure , Annette Lemieux’s Nomad , Lygia Pape’s Ttéia 1, A , and more. Like the hero, we will confront inner demons, lotus eaters, gods, and goddesses. No suitors will be harmed. Please note that there will be spoilers! If you have questions or a request for access services or accommodations that can make your experience more inclusive, please contact hirshhornexperience@si.edu . One to two weeks’ advance notice is recommended but not required.
