During this event, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the flora and fauna and some of the restoration efforts that have been going on at this site. The Anacostia River Fringe Wetlands, is a freshwater tidal marsh reconstructed along the mainstem of the Anacostia River during the summer of 2003. The restoration project was designed and implemented by the US Army Corps of Engineers (Baltimore District) together with the District’s Department of Energy and the Environment on National Park Service land.
