About
Learn to design in Tinkercad and see your creation come to life with our 3D printer! Each class introduces a new technique in Tinkercad or other 3D design tools. Participants will have the opportunity to create a project which will be printed out for pick up later. Classes are on the second Saturday of the month, except in June and October, when it will be on the third Saturday. No experience necessary, participants do not have to participate in all sessions. May 9 - Magnets (negative space + combining shapes) June 20 - Stamps (scribble tool + rotation) July 11 - Standing Sculptures (alignment + supports) August 8 - Free Choice (importing and editing outside designs) September 12 - Hinged Shapes (hinges + print in place) October 17 - Lithophanes November 14 - Cookie Cutters (2D to 3D conversion) December 12 - Snowflakes (codeblocks for generating designs) Appropriate for ages 8+ - younger children will need to be accompanied by an adult to assist them with their design. One dedicated helper needed per child under 8. Space is limited - tickets will be available at the desk 30 minutes before the program begins. One ticket per participant, helpers/spectators do not need a ticket. Each person participating must be present in order to receive their ticket. There are two sessions, one at 3:30 and one at 4:45 pm, to help with crowding. These sessions are identical. ADA Accommodation Requests
