Light of the Moon Calligraphy Lantern Workshop
About
Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with Ms. Cynthia through art and culture! Learn basic Chinese calligraphy brush techniques, explore the traditions and symbolism of the festival, and create a beautiful fan-shaped paper lantern decorated with your own brushwork to take home. All materials will be provided. Supplies and space are limited though so please register for this workshop. Please arrive within the first 5 minutes to secure your spot, otherwise walk-ins will be accepted. This program is designed for kids 7-12 years old. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests! An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance.
